Mocha Mousse is Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2025

Mocha Mousse is the Pantone of the Year for 2025 as announced by The Pantone Colour Institute.

Keeping a similar tone to last year’s Peach Fuzz, Mocha Mousse offers a warming, brown hue imbued with comfort.  Pantone says “For Pantone Color of the Year 2025, we look to a mellow brown hue whose inherent richness and sensorial and comforting warmth extends further into our desire for comfort, and the indulgence of simple pleasures that we can gift and share with others.”

Research has shown that colour plays a huge part in people’s perceptions and mood on their interactions with products, with up to 90% of decisions based on colours first.*

The Pantone Color of the Year program engages the design community and colour enthusiasts in a conversation around colour, highlighting the relationship between colour and culture. Pantone selects a colour each year that captures the global zeitgeist—the Color of the Year express a global mood and an attitude, reflecting collective desire in the form of a single, distinct hue.
